Our Groups
Our diverse church groups run throughout the week, offering opportunities for connection and fellowship for everyone, including children and families. Whether you wish to join our engaging kids clubs, participate in our Memory Cafe, or connect with family groups, there’s a place for you here.
Thursdays @ 11:00am – 1:00pm
Everyone is welcome!
Each Thursday, we open the church for our wonderful Memory Café. St Cuthbert’s Memory Café was the first of its kind in the area, and we now welcome around 80 people each week to share friendship and engage in meaningful activities.
Each week includes a quiz, seated exercises, and an opportunity to sing together as a community. These activities are designed to stimulate different parts of the brain and support healthy memory function.
Our Memory Café is open to all—whether you are living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, are a carer, or simply want to keep your brain active as you grow older. One of the best things we can do to support memory and wellbeing is to enjoy conversation and social connection.
Tuesdays @ 9:30am to 11:00am
This group meets in the Church Hall every Tuesday during term time. It has been developed to support young children and their parents, and is a warm, welcoming parent-and-toddler group. It’s a lovely space for little ones to play while parents and carers enjoy a chance to chat and connect.
Please note: This group runs during term time only—check the calendar to confirm session dates or visit the Daniel’s Den website.
Tuesdays @ 11:30am - 1pm
This is our relaxed and supportive art group, open to everyone—no artistic experience needed! It’s a time set aside to explore creativity, encourage one another, and enjoy the calming benefits of artistic expression. A great way to relax and care for your mental wellbeing.
(Term time only—please check the calendar.)
Tuesdays @ 11:30am - 1:00pm
We meet during the spring, summer, and early autumn months to help care for the church grounds and enjoy fellowship with neighbours and like-minded, enthusiastic gardeners. Whether you’re green-fingered or just enjoy being outdoors, you’re very welcome to join this friendly team.
Saturdays @ 10:00am
Join us for out Saturday Morning Café with activities for children.
Many parents have told the team that their children really look forward to Saturday mornings ... for coming into church! They enjoy the toys and a cake or two. Nitin continues to supply the café with a variety of pastries, bread and food that we offer to everyone who attends.
